Your support over the past year has made
a real difference to patients, families
and staff across King’s College Hospital
NHS Foundation Trust. This newsletter
provides a snapshot of work that you’ve
helped make possible, demonstrating the
power of both small and large projects
across our hospitals, which generate
meaningful and lasting impact and help
care go beyond what the NHS can provide.
One of the best things about working for
the Charity is hearing from patients and
staff about the difference that funding
makes. Sometimes that difference is small
but significant, items that make a hospital
room a little more homely, activities that
relieve boredom and remind patients
of who they are outside of the hospital.
Sometimes it is transformational:
developments in care and treatments that
reduce appointment times or get patients
home to their families sooner, practical
improvements that make patients
and staff feel seen and supported.
Staff also tell us how much they value
your support, from having the tools to
engage with frightened, often vulnerable
patients or distract nervous children
to being given the opportunity to trial
ideas that can transform patient care
or to develop their clinical skills and
expertise – all of this is only possible
thanks to amazing supporters like you.
